Sathönay started as a band consisting of Jonathan Grancollot on drums and Nico Poisson on electric Saz. Saz is an oriental instrument, a type of mandolin, to be short.
Right now it’s mostly a solo project of Nico. Jonathan will be joining occasionnally, among other people.
We started playing together last year (2010). Jonathan also has two other bands, Robes et Manteaux and PanPanPan. Nico also plays in The Rubiks and NED. We live and enjoy working in Lyon, France.
Sathonay is the name of a square in our neighbourhood where we like to hang out.

petite précision; en Turc saz signifie instrument à corde type guitare mandoline bouzouki.. le nom de l’instrument que tu joues est electric baglama (long neck electric baglama). j’ai appris ça dernièrement à Istambul. en tout cas j’écouterais bien votre nouvelle formule..
